Dave Climbs the Bridge

Thanks to a generous birthday present from Jude earlier in the year, Dave did the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge climb in September. Here he is at the top. It was a fabulous experience, made all the more so by glorious weather and a fabulous sunset. To all those who would like to do it but are a bit sheepish, Dave's message is simple: "Do it!". It really isn't very hard at all, nor scary. And the views are to live for! Posted by Picasa

Flute Star

Rosie had a fabulous opportunity in September when she took part in a music workshop with 24 other kids and a few members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Over the two day workshop, the whole group worked together to compose a piece of music. At the end, they played the 20 minute piece to we parents.

In October, Rosie passed her Grade 1 flute exam with honours - and completely without nerves! Posted by Picasa

Rosie Hits Double Figures

What happens when your first-born has ten candles on her cake? You wonder how it all happened so quickly and you feel, as a parent, just that little bit older yourself. Sort of like having two birthdays in the same year! Posted by Picasa

Gymnastics Star

Both Rosie and Matilda have taken up gymnastics this year and enjoy it heaps. Must be from Jude's side of the family because I used to hate the gymnasium with a passion. Too much rope burn from being forced, I mean 'encouraged', to climb up to the roof. This photo was taken at the end of Rosie's first competition.Posted by Picasa

School Concert

One of the joys of going to a small school is the inclusiveness. The biannual school concert had a role for every child in the school. Here is Matilda and her friend Bridget with their walking shoes on. Posted by Picasa

School Concert cont...

Rosie and best friend Tess on concert night. It was an all in-house production which the kids rehearsed heavily for and enjoyed immensely. Posted by Picasa
